Chinese New Year

Friday 12th February was Chinese/Lunar New Year! As part of the celebrations some of our younger children were busy making their own Chinese lanterns and the classrooms were also decorated to celebrate the Year of the Ox! One of our children made a brilliant lion dance costume and two other pupils wore their traditional outfits and performed a dance for their class. The children in Year 2 also produced some beautiful calligraphy in Literacy inspired by their story of the week, Ruby’s Wish by Shirin Yim Bridges. They also added lovely traditional Chinese decorations to their work. Happy Chinese New Year!
