Day 5

Posted on 28 June 2011 in Home View Article >

Water, water everywhere!  Yes it was that kind of a day.  At nine am we set off for Le Pont du Diable (Devil's Bridge), from where we descended into a breathtaking gorge.  We saw the effects of water on rock over thousands of years and took lots of photos before climbing back up the five hundred steps we had come down.  Yes the ascent was much harder than the descent!! 'Is that Mrs Jeffrey puffed out?' Lunch was eaten by the side of Lake Geneva as we watched a fisher...

The End of the First Day in Chatel

Posted on 25 June 2011 in Home View Article >

After lunch in our hotel we were pick up outside the hotel by a land train.  The land train took us down to the town of Chatel for us to explore the town.  We have been blessed by beautiful sunshine as we explored the town and the surrounding countryside. On arriving back at the hotel we unpacked our bags, well in some cases turned our cases upside down! and then had a deserved wash after a lovely day.
