Key Stage One Curriculum

Our Key Stage One curriculum follows on from the Early Years Foundation Stage in the Reception Year. Children then progress using the Key Stage One Curriculum and many other learning strategies to develop our children's individual learning.  Our Year 2 children currently sit the Key Stage One SATs in the Summer Term.

Children continue to be taught by Specialist Teachers in Physical Education, French and Music, but with the addition of ICT from Reception. In addition, Year 2 children are also taught by the Science Specialist Teacher. Independence is once again the key to learning in the Infant Department. Children are given many opportunities to gain confidence in all areas for their future development.
