Clubs and Activities

We offer a wide range of clubs and activities which complement the school curriculum. All pupils are encouraged to participate in all the clubs. We offer an early morning club before school begins as well as after-school care.

Holiday Club

Breaside School offers a holiday club during the Christmas, Easter and Summer holidays, open to all children from Kindergarten to Year 6.  The club is designed to be flexible and is available from 8am until 5pm, for morning or afternoon sessions or for the whole day.

The children are busy with a range of daily craft activities including seasonal cookery and art projects.  For the more active children there are plenty of supervised outdoor activities dependent on weather conditions such as sports, kite making and orienteering

Trips

We believe that learning does not just take place within the classroom and a variety of trips to places of interest are organised for each year group throughout the year. In Year 5, the pupils are offered the opportunity of taking part in an activities week in Dorset, where they can try a variety of outward-bound activities. The Year 6 trip to France gives our pupils the opportunity to practise their language skill as well as continue their outdoor pursuits.
